The Midnight Crew was founded as a gospel quartet in November 8, 2001. The lead singer was Pat Uwaje-King and [composed] of Mike Abdul (Alto), Gbenga Oyebola (Tenor), and Odunayo Ojo (Soprano). They were founded in Ogba, Lagos, Nigeria[1]

Music

The Midnight Crew had stated in many of their music videos that they wanted to "put the praise of GOD on the lips of all men". The group soon made the album "Fusion" with The Clergymen in 2003. [2]They released their solo debut album, IGWE (which literally means machine[3]) in 2008*. The group will go on to have more than 5 albums and 3 singles. The song, IGWE, would have more than 4.1 million views on YouTube.[4][5] The group will make more albums, such as KING OF NATIONS in 2012, and EZE in 2013.”….

I've categorized "Taai" as a Kenyan/Nigerian song because it includes one line in Nigerian Pidgin English and one Igbo word (repeated twice). These Nigerian words- and its Naija flavor (according to one commenter in this song's YouTube video's discussion thread) are likely because in 2016 Emmy Kosgei married a Nigerian pastor and moved to Nigeria.

With all due respect, instead of the translation that is given for "We are sojourners .. Embarked on a journey", a more likely standard English translation would be "We are travelers starting our journey".

Also, I think that the translation "We are moving forward boldly" would probably be given in Standard American English as "We are boldly moving forward".

According to Google translate "Gaga" from Igbo to English as "proceed". "Move Forward" is probably a better standard English translation for that word.

Google translate indicates that "egwu agagh atu anyi" is Igbo and its English translation is "We will never be". Google translate gives no Igbo to English translation that makes sense for "egu atulagi" [translation: the caterpillar tulagi]]. Are those words Nigerian Pidgin English or Kalinjin?

In the context of the Gospel song by Nigerian singer Uche Agu that was covered by Ghanaian singer Atta Boafo, "double double" refers to God's abundant blessings. The phrase literally means that those who do good and pray to God will receive double the amount that they pray for and then double that amount. That "increase four-fold" meaning was first used in Congolese singer Nyboma's 1982 love song "Double Double" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6Vlr0DFX3Y&ab_channel=sparrowdudu

In a comment given after the first video below, the date for the song "My God Is Good: (Double Double)" was included in Uche Agu's 2015 album. I don't know when Uche Agu composed this song.  The 2011 date for Atta Boafo's cover of Uche Agu's song that is given below may not be correct.   

In 2014 Bishop McPherson, a commenter in the discussion thread of the video of Atta Boafo's rendition of this song gave the Biblical verse which inspired this song:
"Isa 61:7 Instead of your shame you shall have a double portion, instead of dishonor you shall rejoice in your lot; therefore in your land you shall possess a double portion; yours shall be everlasting joy. (Revised Standard Version)".

Although the lyric page that is quoted ascribes this song to Atta Baofo, commenters in the discussion thread for videos of this song indicate that the original song was written by and sung by Uche Agu. Commenters also indicate that Atta Baofa's recording of this song has the same lyrics as Uche Agu's composition, but perhaps that original version doesn't include the Twi (Akan) r referent for God ("Nyame") that Atta Baofo's version has.

"Broken English" is more formally referred to as pidgin English. In the context of this song this is Nigerian pidgin English. Twi is a form of the Akan language. Akan is spoken in eastern Ivory Coast, south-central Ghana, and central Togo.
