This is Part II of a three part pancocojams series about the now infamous May 16, 2024 United States House Oversight Committee hearing.
This post showcases a video of C-SPAN footage of that May 16, 2024 House of Representatives Oversight Committee hearing, with a focus on the portion of that hearing in which a female Republican House Representative tells two female Democratic House Representatives to "calm down" and "control themselves".
It should be noted that the Representative who shouted to two other Representatives to "calm down" and to "control themselves' was is a woman of partial Mexican ancestry. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is a woman of Puerto Rican ancestry and Representative jasmine Crockett is a woman of African American ancestry.
Selected comments about the historical and socio-cultural connotations of those words directed to women of color are included in this post.

"As a black woman, I'll say this: seeing Mrs. Crockett being
told to calm down and being told she's out of order when she didn't start this
really took me back to so many experiences at work. The amount of times a
dwight woman has started shit with me and then I'm the one being told how to
behave... It got to the point that if I know my supervisor will be a dwight
woman, I'm not interested in the job or contract. At least a dwight man will be
open with their racism.
Mrs. Crockett was minding her black business and asking
relevant questions and got attacked, but because she can attack back better,

Marjorie Taylor Greene found out. But it was then members of her party tried to play victim. And many online were all to keen to go along with it. Because that's where we are now."
