"Yes I remember watching this when it first aired! This is a classic. It was good to see James Brown taking directions from other musicians of another genre. You don’t see that too often. But he did hold his own with them. But the funniest thing about this was when Bobby Bland told him to moan and then after each time he was going to mention some of James Brown song so he mentions papas got a brand new bag the first time, open up the door I’ll get it myself the second time, and then the third time he couldn’t think of any more songs so he said papas got a brand new bag again! 😂🤣. But I know James but I got the biggest kick out of when he started naming his songs.
