Edited by Azizi Powell
Update: January 4, 2020 - I added a 2013 video with comments.
This is Part II in a pancocojams series about Nigerians migrating to other nations.
This pancocojams post presents information about Ogene music and showcases four YouTube videos of that music and accompanying dances.
This post also includes selected comments from these videos' discussion threads. Most of these selected examples reflect the relatively high percentage of comments in these videos' discussion threads that were posted by self-described Igbos [or from commenters whose names appear to me to be Igbo] who noted that they live outside of Nigeria. These comments suggest that a considerable number of Igbos (and other Nigerians) have temporarily or permanently emigrated to numerous countries throughout the world.
Click https://pancocojams.blogspot.com/2020/01/excerpts-from-three-online-articles.html for Part I of this pancocojams series. That post is entitled "Excerpts From Three Online Articles About Contemporary Voluntary Emigration By Nigerians, Particularly Outside Of Africa".
The content of this post is presented for cultural, socio-cultural, and aesthetic purposes.
All copyrights remain with their owners.
Thanks to all those who are featured in these videos and all those who are quoted in this post. Thanks also to the publishers of these videos on YouTube

Disclaimer: This post doesn't take any position on whether Igbos are more likely to voluntarily emigrate outside of Nigeria than other Nigerian ethnic groups. I focused on these comments because they were included in discussion threads for videos on ogene music that I happened upon while surfing YouTube for Nigerian music.

INFORMATION ABOUT OGENE MUSIC
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogene
"Ogene is a style of Igbo music consisting of, and taking its name from, the ogene instrument, which is a large metal bell. The Ogene instrument has historically been made by the Igbo people of Nigeria. It is one of the most important metal instruments of the people.
The Ogene type of bell which is commonly used as a "master instrument" in a bell orchestra in the Omambala River basin of the Igboland. It is an instrument of the struck idiophone class and is made of iron by specialist blacksmiths. The bell has a flattish, conical shape, and is hollow inside. The sound itself comes from the vibration of the iron body when struck, which is made to resound by the hollow inside of the bell. The iron body is usually struck with a soft wooden stick."...

-snip-
Google translate from Igbo to English
The Biafrans will bless you with God! Action! Greetings from Qatar Good luck"
-snip-
Is this Google translation correct? Does "ogene oma" really mean good luck?
Click https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biafra for information about "Biafra". That Wikipedia article is mostly about the history of that region and, in particular, about the Biafran war, but doesn't reference the contemporary use of the word "Biafra" and "Biafrans" as it appears in this comment and in a number of comments I've happened upon in YouTube discussion threads of Igbo music and dance.

5. Prince Richard, 2015
"Confirm ogene! Greetings from South Korea! Nwa akpagu ndi ezeagu iwollo Enugu state! Udo di"

My guess is that the commenter means that Abu Dhabi isn't like Igbo culture.
