Kamala Harris set Fox News on fire. And it was well deserved. Vice President Kamala Harris may not get another debate with former President Donald Trump, but on Wednesday, she got one with Bret Baier. In an interview that turned contentious almost the instant it began, Mr. Baier, Fox News’s chief political anchor, repeatedly pressed the Democratic presidential nominee on illegal immigration, taxpayer support for gender-transition surgery and other areas that closely aligned with Mr. Trump’s regular attacks against her. At one point, Mr. Baier wondered if the vice president considered Mr. Trump’s supporters “stupid.” He tried every Maga Right Wing attack, and she repelled them all, even calling Fox News out for intentionally trimming a video in an effort to present an angle and attack instead of any semblance of truth. Also, I'm aware that there are some Black Americans who don't consider Kamala Harris to be a Black Americans, and there are some Black Americans who don't even consider Kamala Harris to be Black. This pancocojams compilation documents a small sample of online comments from African Americans who refer to Kamala Harris as Black and/or African American. A few of the comments in this compilation also document that some Black Americans question or outright reject that Kamala Harris is Black or is a Black American. Based on most of these comments' accompanying screen photographs and/or based on the comments themselves, I believe that it's likely that most if not all of these comments in this particular pancocojams compilation are African American, with the possible exception of a commenter who self-identified as Jamaican.One indicator of whether or not such comments are found in Black American podcasts is whether or not those podcasters and their commenters support Harris/Walz for United States 2024 President/Vice President. Byron Donalds (R-FL), accusing the congressman of lying on air. Boykin, a former White House aide to Bill Clinton, clashed with Donalds on NewsNight With Abby Phillip, alleging that Donalds was making false claims about crime increasing under President Joe Biden. The pair started trading barbs after watching a clip of Donald Trump calling for “one rough hour” to end crime. Phillip asked Donalds if Trump was “suggesting that cops can do whatever they want for a day and that will actually solve the problem?” “No, he’s not,” Donalds answered. “And even the clip you just played was five seconds out of, for Donald Trump, an hour speech. What you're calling abortion is more correctly called reproductive health care, and no matter how you slice it, the government should absolutely not be involved in a decision that should be made between a woman and her health care provider. We've already seen the loss of two lives in Georgia because women couldn't access life-saving procedures after they'd miscarried. Most miscarriages occur in the first trimester, and they're not always complete. That's when medical intervention is required. If someone supports a candidate who would prevent medical intervention, that person isn't pro-life, they're pro-death.

Third, I don't expect the POTUS to do anything for me specifically, but generally a candidate with a policy to offer down-payment assistance to first-time homeowners and small business owners ought to be very attractive to black folks and especially black women who are the largest number of new entrepreneurs in America. Anyway, it's the job of our local and state governments to "do something for us" since they're the levels of government closest to us. We can't just vote once every four years and expect things to change in our favor.

And speaking of voting once every four years, I'd crawl to the polls to vote against a candidate who has said publicly he'd be a dictator "just for the first day" and that if he wins, "we'll fix it so good you'll never have to vote again." I like my voting rights just fine, and I'm not going to give that orange criminal a chance to take them away. The choice is clear for me: I can vote for the continuation of democracy and the rights of all Americans, or I can vote for autocracy and The Handmaid's Tale."
