This is Part I of a two part pancocojams series that showcases some YouTube videos of African American (Soul) line dancing to the 1994 Blackstreet record "Booti Call [Remix]". The title of that record is also given as "Booty Call [Remix].
By at least August 2025 some versions of that African American line dance were being referred to as "Trouble Slide (Booty Call)".
This post showcases six examples of the "Booti Call" (also given as the "Booty Call") line dance that were published on YouTube between 2007 and 2025. When available, selected comments from each video's discussion thread are presented after each video.

There are numerous past and present versions of the "Booty Call" (and other titles) line dances that were/are performed to Blackstreet's 1994 "Booty Call" [Remix] record. Indeed, comments about the "Booti Call" ("Booty Call" dance before the 2020s suggests that every African American city had its own way of performing that line dance.
The posts in this pancocojams series showcase a few YouTube videos of "the Booti Call" ("the Booty Call"; "Trouble Slide (Booty Call") line dances that were/are performed to Blackstreet's 1994 record "Booti Call [Remix]"* . These videos are presented based on their publishing dates with the oldest dates given first. It's important to note that later showcased videos may show earlier versions of this particular line dance.
*Some other online examples of these dances are performed to another record.
The titles and/or summaries and selected comments from each video's discussion thread can provide information and opinions about the version of this line dance that is showcased in each of these videos (i.e. where and when that particular version was danced and/or whether commenters consider the line dance in that video was the "original" way that line dance was performed.)

"Booti" is an alternative way of spelling the African American Vernacular English word "booty". As such, the word "booti" is an example of African Americans creatively playing with how words (including names) are spelled, written (how they look), and/or how they are pronounced.
"Booti Call" ("Booty Call" ; "Trouble Slide") line dance moves aren't meant to imitate or suggest having sex.
That said, the trail ride (Steppa) versions of soul line dances (including the "Trouble Slide (Booty Call) "usually consists of much more sexually suggestive (twerking, hip shaking etc) movements that urban Soul line dances.
One probable reason for this is that trail ride line dances are usually performed by a much younger age range of line dancers than "standard" urban Soul line dancers.

"Line Dancing With Terressa" is a very popular soul line dance YouTube channel that is based in Richmond, Virginia.
This 2019 video indicates that that line dance group is from Albany, Georgia. That group doesn't feature the dancer/instructor Terressa who is almost always shown in the central spot in the first row for Line Dancing With Terressa videos.
It appears that Line Dancing With Terressa's channel gave that Georgia line dance group a guest appearance on their channel.
