The Five Most Watched YouTube Videos Of African American (Soul) Line Dances On August 2026 (Based On The Total Views Of Their Official YouTube Music Video)

Edited by Azizi Powell

This pancocojams post documents the five most popular African American (Soul) line dances* on August 11, 2026 based on the total number of views of their YouTube official music video.

The Addendum to this post showcases a YouTube video of the Wooble line dance (since the official YouTube video of the Wooble doesn't show that particular dance routine.)

All of these videos were published on YouTube between 2007 to 2025. They are presented in descending order with Showcase Video #1 being the line dance video with the highest number of views.

Each of these records have other video and audio examples on YouTube. The number of views for those other YouTube examples of these records aren't counted in the tabulation for this pancocojams' list.

The content of this post is presented for historical, cultural, entertainment, and aesthetic purposes.

All copyrights remain with their owners.

Thanks to the recording artists and to all other who are featured in these videos. Thanks also to the producers and the publishers of these videos on YouTube.

This (unofficial) documentation of the most popular African American line dance is mostly limited to those records that are made specifically for line dancing. Usually, part of the lyrics for those records include dancing instructions.

I've (mostly) limiting this documentation to this type of line dance videos because it's impossible to know how many of the people viewing videos for records that have been repurposed (adopted) for line dancing* viewed those videos for that purpose.

*The video for the "Wooble" line dance is an exception to this rule because (as that video shows) tthe "Wooble Baby" originally wasn't a line dance. For that reason, the Addendum of this pancocojams post showcases a YouTube video of the Wooble line dance.Information about the creation of that dance routine is also given in that Addendum.

Two very popular records that were repurposed for African American line dancing are "Follow Me by Aly-Us" and "Can't get Enough" by Tamia.

Here's some information from AI Overview about the history of the Wooble line dance (source:https://www.reddit.com/r/Zillennials/comments/1rl6io5/is_the_wobble_more_z_or_millenial_or_is_it_purely "/Is the Wobble more Z or Millenial, or is it purely Zillenial?" (discussion beginning in 2026)

"The "Wobble" line dance routine was rooted in an urban line dance called "Nasty Girl" created by Philadelphia choreographer Dave Bush Jr. (known as the "Godfather of Soul Line Dancing") and Butterball's Posse in the mid-1990s. It was later adapted to V.I.C.’s 2008 hip-hop song "Wobble" with help from figures like West TX Jay (Jeremy Strong). It blew up nationwide around 2011–2012 through viral social media videos, weddings, and club play."...
