Meet the Portland, Oregon Protestor Wearing An Inflatable Frog Costume Who Energized A Movement Of Whimsical Costumed Protestors Against Trump's ICE Agents (October 2025)

The Portland protest frogs are multiplying

Meet the Portland protest frog that started a movement

The Portland protest frog didn’t let a stream of chemical spray shot directly at his costume’s air vent stop him. A TikTok video of the onslaught by a federal agent is now up to at least 1.4 million likes.

It happened as people were peacefully protesting on the sidewalk in front of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office at around 11 p.m. on Oct. 2, said the man in the frog suit, Seth Todd, 24, of Portland.

And despite the whimsy of his bulbous green outfit, Todd said he’s serious about the reason he’s a protest regular.”…

INTERVIEW WITH SETH TODD, THE FIRST PORTLAND, OREGON PROTESTOR TO DRESS UP IN AN INFLATABLE FROG COSTUME

@oregonian, Oct 10, 2025

Reporter- "What kind of suit are you wearing, sir?"

Seth Todd, Protestor wearing a frog suit-“Um, it’s an inflatable frog suit."

Reporter- "And what brought you out to the protest to begin with?"

Seth Todd, Protestor wearing a frog suit-: "To begin with?-I personally, as part of the Mexican community, Latino community

I don’t like the way our immigrants are being treated. I don’t like seeing my neighbors, my community members, my family being kidnapped, essentially, and being disappeared without due process and then being sent to places around the world without any due process to it. .

And it, it’s kind of ridiculous that they are being so aggressive, so inhumane with their treatment of immigrants. And that’s why I’m here.

I’m here protesting the inhumane way that ICE and DHS are treating our immigrants whether they are here legally or not.

They should be treated as human beings because that is what they are. That’s what we all are. We are humans, and we are not supposed to be treating other people unfairly just because we have the power to do so.

Since you have the power, you should be even more careful with how you treat people because you have much power and with it comes responsibility.

I obviously started something. A movement of people showing up looking ridiculous which is the exact point, is to show how the narrative being pushed that we are violent extremist is completely ridiculous.

So it’s just a ridiculous narrative that the Trump administration wants to put out there so that they can continue their fascist dictatorship.

Nothing about this screams extremist or violent.. I think it’s great.

I think it shows that we’re not violent.”
