Prior to the Jennifer Hudson Show's use of the term "Spirit Tunnel", that term was used in schools as a referent for a formation of two rows of students facing each other with a space in between, through which certain students being honored would walk or run. The Jennifer Hudson Show's "Spirit Tunnel" is an alternate, remixed version of that "mainstream" form of Spirit Tunnels. And that Jennifer Hudson Show remixed version of the Spirit Tunnels adds lots of Black cultural elements.
