A MARSHELLESE VERSION OF MWOMWEHDA

Marshallese Song 2020
-snip-
This song became very popular in Micronesia and some other places because of the 2019 remix by the Micronesian music group "V6 Productions". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbHAARqzWK8&ab_channel=PohnpeiUpdater
According to a commenter in the discussion thread for V6 Production's YouTube video for "Mwomwehda" is a Pohnpeian word that means "wanna be" (or a person who is acting like someone or something she or he isn't.). Another commenter wrote that the song is about a woman who is acting like she is an American. Another person wrote that the song is about a woman who is acting "White" instead of loving her brown skin.
* From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pohnpeian_language
"Pohnpeian is a Micronesian language spoken as the indigenous
language of the island of Pohnpei in the Caroline Islands, Pohnpeian
has approximately 30,000 (estimated) native speakers living in Pohnpei and its
outlying atolls and islands with another 10,000-15,000 (estimated) living off
island in parts of the US mainland, Hawaii and Guam. It is the second-most
widely spoken native language of the Federated States of Micronesia"...
