This is Part I of a two part pancocojams series about the stomp & shake cheerleading cheers "You Make Me Fall Asleep" and "All Y'all Cheers Are Boring".
This pancocojams post showcases a YouTube video short of "You Make Us Go To Sleep" cheer and a YouTube video short of "All Y' All Cheers Are Boring" cheer.
The words for those cheers are included in this post along with information about and my description of the similarities and differences between those two basketball stomp & shake cheerleading cheers.
Click https://pancocojams.blogspot.com/2026/05/comments-about-copying-stealing-stomp.html for Part II of this pancocojams series. That post presents selected comments from the discussion threads for the YouTube videos of "You Make Us Go To Sleep" ["Panther's version] and "All Y' All Cheers Are Boring" that were showcased in Part I of this pancocojams series.
These selected comments are representative of other comments in those discussion threads that negatively label a cheer as a "copy" and/or which state or imply that stomp & shake cheerleading teams shouldn't "copy" or "steal" another teams' cheers and/or other teams' routines for cheers as doing so demonstrates a lack of creativity and originality.
These types of comments are a continuation of the subject of stomp & shake cheerleader teams "copying" (or "stealing") that I first explored in this 2015 pancocojams post:

SHOWCASE VIDEO #1- YOU MAKE US GO TO SLEEP
@brittanymarie485 and @SaginawDanceShowcase, November 20, 2025
-snip-
Based on several comments in this video's discussion thread, this high school stomp & shake cheerleading team's name is "The Panthers" (A number of commenters in this discussion thread and in another video's discussion thread on this cheer referred to this cheerleader team as "The Tigers".) I don't know the name of the school and where that school is located.
Based on comments in Tik Tok videos and in other YouTube video shorts, this cheer and its routine were probably created by Sparkman High School (Alabama) in 2023.
This YouTube video is also included in the February 2025 pancocojams post entitled "You Make Us Go To Sleep" Stomp & Shake Basketball Cheers (videos, words, and descriptions)
Here are the words to that cheer as it is performed in this YouTube video short*:
Captain: You make us go to sleep.
Captain - I SAID
Team - We're tired and you make us go to sleep!
You tried to compete but now you gon' be beat
You make us go to sleep
You make us go to sleeepppp [cheerleaders pull out their small blankets and collapse on the bleachers, pretending to be asleep.]

DESCRIPTION OF THE "'ALL Y'ALL CHEERS ARE BORING" COMPARED TO THE WORDS AND DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBEDDED VERSION OF "YOU MAKE ME FALL ASLEEP"
"You Make Me Fall Asleep" and "All Y' All Cheers Are Boring" are both basketball stomp and shake cheers that can be considered "battle cheers" (A "battle cheer" is a stomp and shake cheer that is performed to diss (insult) another cheerleading team and/or to big up the cheerleading team that is performing that cheer.)
The words and ending motion of All Y' All Cheers Are Boring" cheer are clearly inspired by the cheer entitled "You Make Us Go To Sleep". Click https://pancocojams.blogspot.com/2025/02/the-yall-tiredyou-make-us-go-to-sleep.html for the February 2025 pancocojams post entitled "You Make Us Go To Sleep" Stomp & Shake Basketball Cheer/s (videos, words, and descriptions).
Similarities between these cheers
In both of the cheer videos that are showcased in this pancocojams post, the cheerleading teams perform the characteristic upstomps (raising the right knee and performing bass sounding foot stomping motions alternating with individual hand claps)
The "falling asleep" ending motion in the "All Y'All Cheers Are Boring" video short is very similar to the ending motion of the "You Make Me Go To Sleep" cheer. Because of its similar theme and its ending motion, I believe that "You Make Me Go To Sleep" was the inspiration for the "All Y'all Cheers Are Boring" cheer.

Differences between these cheers
Each the three examples of "You Make Me Go To Sleep" cheers that are documented in the above mentioned 2025 pancocojams post are "bleacher cheers" (i.e. the cheerleaders perform the cheer while standing or sitting in the gym bleachers during the basketball game.)
Also, a key difference between the ending of the "All Y'All Cheers Are Boring" routine and the routines of the three videos in that above mentioned 2025 pancocojams post is that the cheerleader teams that performed "You Make Me Go To Sleep" ended their version of that cheer by pulling out a small blanket from the floor of the bleacher seat where they were standing and put that blanket over them when they to collapse on the bleacher seats as if they had fallen asleep.
In contrast, the video short of "All Y'all Cheers Are Boring" features a younger group of African American female cheerleaders as a field cheer (i.e.- performed in the center of the gym during what may have been a cheerleading showcase and not an actual game. One of the publishers @Saginaw DanceShow wrote in that video short's discussion thread that this was the team's first experience with a cheer battle". Also, in contrast, these girls didn't have a blanket or any other covering when they fell on the gym floor pretending to be asleep.
This is the only example of cheerleaders performing "All Y' All Cheers Are Boring" that I have come across to date (May 14, 2026).I haven't come across any other online references to that cheer as of the publication date for this pancocojams post (May 14, 2026.)

Here's some information that I've gleaned about @Saginaw DanceShow, the publisher of numerous YouTube video shorts of middle school (or younger) and high school African American girls' stomp & shake cheerleader cheers:
ReplyDeleteThe YouTube video short of "You Make Us Go To Sleep Me" that is showcased in this pancocojams post cites two publishers-one with a feminine name and @SaginawDanceShow. That video has a box insert of a young or middle age African American man commenting while the video plays. My assumption is that man is @SaginawDance Show and that he is the one who usually writes replies to those video shorts' discussion thread comments.
@SaginawDanceShow sometimes collaborates with and co-publishes video shorts with a person who is more directly affiliated with the team * that is being featured in that particular YouTube video short.
*I've also come across YouTube video shorts that @SaginawDanceShow publishes (or co-published) of majorette dance teams (This African American originated group competitive style of dancing was popularized in the United States between 2014-2019 by the television series Bring It! and their children/teen dance team The Dancing Dolls".
For some unspecified reason, @SaginawDanceShow is very reluctant to share any information about the teams that are showcased in the YouTube video shorts that he publishes. He also is reluctant to even share information about where he is located. (For instance, in one exchange that I read on one of the discussion threads for a video short that he co-published, someone asked if he was from Saginaw (a city in Michigan), and he replied that he travels to various cities and states.
DeleteIn the discussion thread for the "All Y' All Cheers Are Boring", he was asked what school the cheerleaders were from. He answered "from more than one school". The same commenter then wrote "But what schools" and he replied with hearts or other emojis.
Sometimes a commenter will share the name of the showcased school or the showcased cheerleader team. In those cases that I've happened upon, @SaginawDanceShow will usually not confirm that identification.
DeleteI'm troubled by many of @SaginawDanceShow's replies to commenters in the discussion thread for the "All Y' All Cheers Are Boring" video. Among other things, I wish that @SaginawDanceShow had a greater understanding of the importance of documenting folk content (cheers) so that demographic (who, where, when) information about his showcased groups could be documented for the folkloric and cultural record.
