PANCOCOJAMS EDITOR'S NOTES ABOUT PARODIES OF THE "MCDONALDS IS OUR KIND OF PLACE" SONG
There are A LOT of examples of children's parodies of the 1967 McDonalds commercial jingle "McDonalds Is Our Kind Of Place". The examples in this pancocojams compilation are a very small subset of those parodies that are the only comments that I found online that include the commenters' geographical location. Almost all of these examples are from the United States. Two examples are from Canada and one is from Africa.
All of these examples except one consists of complete versions of these parodies (October 28, 2025 and October 29, 2025. That one exception is a comment from a person from Canada saying that he remembered the version that another commenter shared.
Although the mission of pancocojams is to focus on African American culture and other Black cultures throughout the world, the content of this post is presented because I love children's recreational compositions and often publish posts about this subject on this pancocojams blog. As such, I'm making no statements or implications about the race or ethnicity of the people sharing these examples of this parody
That said, I believe that it's highly likely that people of most racial/ethnic backgrounds in the United States chanted parodies of "McDonalds Is Your Kind Of Place" when they were popular in the late 1960s to the 1980s.
The examples in this compilation come from multiple websites. These websites are given in no particular order. In the cases of more than one example from a website, those examples are presented in the order that they are found in that website. Except for three parodies, all of these examples are from the United States. The examples that are the exception to this statement are from Canada and from "Africa". The relative lack of examples from nations other than the United States suggests that-prior to and even after the internet-this "McDonalds Is Your Kind Of Place" parody wasn't (isn't) scarcely known throughout the world.
In this pancocojams compilation, the parody examples are presented in alphabetical order based on the first letter of the state if the example comes from the United States or a nation if the example comes from Canada or from an un-named country in the continent of Africa.
Examples in this compilation are numbered under each alphabetical entry.
The following information is given underneath each example: the contributor's name if given; the date that the example was published on that website, and the hyperlink to the website where I retrieved the example's website where I got that example.
All of these examples are given "as is" (with no spelling or punctuation corrections)
DISCLAIMER
This post doesn't mean to imply that these are the only children's parodies of "McDonalds is Your Kind Of Place" (or similar titles) that were (or "are") chanted in the geographical locations that are named in this compilation.
Furthermore, although I've read a number of comments online that indicated that the version of "McDonalds Is Your Kind Of Place" people knew was based on their region (i.e. where they lived) when they first started singing this parody.
I don't know that it's really true that people's versions of this parody depended (or depends) on where they lived. Even if that's true, another important factor probably was when they learned it, since versions likely changed in different decades. (This McDonalds commercial aired from 1967 to sometimes in the 1980s). *
Much more research needs to be done than my limited, informal online collecting from October 28, 2025 and October 29, 2025) to establish whether there are actual correlations between where people lived and when they sang their versions of this parody.
*A number of commenters in various online discussion threads wrote that they had never heard of "McDonalds Is Your Kind Of Place" commercial jingle or parodies. Often some other commenter responded that it depends on a person's age and that people under sixty years old wouldn't know it.

third North American Ballade "Down By The Riverside" and my dad leans
over the steps and yells down "Hey, isn't that the McDonalds song?" I
had always thought that the ballade was very familiar but I could never think
