Part I - The Use Of The Term "Boom Shakalaka" In One Of Geophysicist Stefan Burn's 3 I Atlas Podcasts & In That Podcast' Discussion Thread

Edited by Azizi Powell

This is Part I of a two part pancocojams post about 3 I/ Atlas
and the use of the African American created term  "Boom Shakalaka" by the podcaster, geophysicist Stefan Burns  and by some commenters in tht podcast's discussion thread.

This post showcases a video of that abovementioned podcast and presents the official description of that channel. This pancocojams post also presents an excerpt of the auto-generated transcript of that podcast.

In addition, this pancocojams post presents some information about 3 I /Atlas (also given as "Three i/ Atlas" (spelled with an upper case letter i).

The Addendum to this pancocojams post presents a definition of the terms "the sun's corona", "supermoon", and "perihelion". Each of these words are found in this video's summary and/or in its auto-generated transcript.

Click https://pancocojams.blogspot.com/2025/10/part-ii-use-of-term-boom-shakalaka-in.html for Part II of this pancocojams series. That post presents some definitions of the term "Boom Shakalaka" as well as some examples of comments from that video's discussion thread that include the term "boom shakalaka". For context, some other discussion thread comments that don't include the term "boom shakalaka" are also included in that pancocojams post.

The content of this post is presented for socio-cultural, geophysics, and linguistic purposes.

DESCRIPTION FOR STEFAN BURN'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL
from https://www.youtube.com/@StefanBurns

"I cover solar activity/space weather, planetary alignments, and geophysical energetic events so we may all better understand the quality of the energies of the Solar System and the Earth. I believe this helps in the spiritual and consciousness evolution journey, and I also discuss health and wellness topics like Earthing and Grounding - and sell products - to help everyone to stay healthy, happy, aligned on their soul mission. It's all about resonance! Namaste, Stefan Burns"... **** PANCOCOJAMS EDITOR'S NOTE This excerpt of this auto-generated Stefan Burn's video is given in this pancocojams post "as is" except that complete sentences are written in their entirety without any minute time stamps. This resulted in some minor changes to the formatting of this transcript. I made the following corrections to the spelling in this auto-generated transcript: -I corrected the spelling "Thrii" to "Three". -I corrected the word "threeey" to "Three eye"
-I corrected the spelling of the word "coronal" that was given in this transcript as "chronal" and -I corrected the word "chronal" and "chronom" to "coronal".

I added the following punctuation marks: a period at the end of one sentence and quotation marks for the term "1 AU" and commas before and after the words

I also wrote the words "Boom shaka" and "Boom shakalaka" that are included in this transcript in italics to highlight Stefan Burn's use of those words in his statements. Those words aren't given in italics in that transcript. I believe that the words "boom shaka" in that transcript is probably an incorrect auto-transcription of the word "boom shakalaka". A definition of and explanations for "boom shakalaka" are given in Part II of this pancocojams series.

Definitions for the words "sun's corona", "coronal mass ejections", "supermoon". and "perihelion" are given in the Addendum to this pancocojams post.

**** AN EXCERPT FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AUTO-GENERATED TRANSCRIPT FOR THIS SHOWCASED VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3FpgvizYrc

[From 6:09 to 7:44 of this video. The full length of this video is 25.08.]

... "What it's more interesting in  my mind are these huge coral mass ejections that you see the sun has launched during this pretty close approach of three Atlas and that exact alignment with the Earth, the Moon, the Sun, and Three I Atlas, the superior conjunction on the 21st of October.

So, we'll watch this chronograph repeat, and you'll see that things are fairly quiet and calm. Then, we had these sunspots start to rotate to the far side there on the limb. You can see that they're pumping out quite a bit every now and then, but then we get this really big coronal mass ejection on the 21st.

You'll see the moon swing in here. Right now, it's the 20th. It's all universal time. So, see how they're really starting to pump out plasma now. Look at that. It's getting bigger and bigger. We see the moon swing in for the new moon.

There it is. And check out this gigantic coronal mass ejection that launches right after this boom shaka. That is a big big coronal mass ejection. One of the largest of this solar cycle.

About 24 hours later, we get another big coronal mass ejection right there. Boom shakalaka. And then again another 24 hours later, we get a third big coronal mass ejection right there. We may get a fourth one. But notice that Three I Atlas at that time was nearly in perfect alignment with the sun as viewed from earth and it's getting closer and closer to the sun is perihelion being about astronomical units away from the sun. "1 AU" ,for reference, is the distance from the earth to the sun on average so it's quite close it's quite large”…

SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THREE I ATLAS ( also given as "3 I /Atlas", with the upper case  used for the letter "i")
From https://science.nasa.gov/solar-system/comets/3i-atlas/ "Comet 3I/Atlas" [retrieved October 25, 2025]
Note given after this website's title: "Due to the lapse in federal government funding, NASA is not updating this website."
"Overview

Comet 3I/ATLAS is the third known object from outside our solar system to be discovered passing through our celestial neighborhood. Astronomers have categorized this object as interstellar because of the hyperbolic shape of its orbital path. (It does not follow a closed orbital path about the Sun.) When the orbit of 3I/ATLAS is traced into the past, the comet clearly originates from outside our solar system.

Comet 3I/ATLAS poses no threat to Earth and will remain far away. The closest it will approach our planet is about 1.8 astronomical units (about 170 million miles, or 270 million kilometers). 3I/ATLAS will reach its closest point to the Sun around Oct. 30, 2025, at a distance of about 1.4 au (130 million miles, or 210 million kilometers) — just inside the orbit of Mars.

The interstellar comet’s size and physical properties are being investigated by astronomers around the world. 3I/ATLAS should remain visible to ground-based telescopes through September 2025, after which it will pass too close to the Sun to observe. It will reappear on the other side of the Sun by early December 2025, allowing for renewed observations."...

ADDENDUM - DEFINITIONS OF TWO WORDS THAT ARE FOUND IN THAT VIDEO'S SUMMARY AND TRANSCRIPT

[The Sun's] Corona
From https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/sun-corona/en/ "The Sun's Corona"[retrieved October 25, 2025]
Note given after this website's title: "Due to the lapse in federal government funding, NASA is not updating this website."
"What Is the Sun's Corona?

The Short Answer:

The Sun’s corona is the outermost part of the Sun’s atmosphere. The corona is usually hidden by the bright light of the Sun's surface. That makes it difficult to see without using special instruments. However, the corona can be viewed during a total solar eclipse."...

Coronal mass ejections
From https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/phenomena/coronal-mass-ejections "Coronal Mass Ejections"
"
Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) are large expulsions of plasma and magnetic field from the Sun’s corona. They can eject billions of tons of coronal material and carry an embedded magnetic field (frozen in flux) that is stronger than the background solar wind interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) strength. CMEs travel outward from the Sun at speeds ranging from slower than 250 kilometers per second (km/s) to as fast as near 3000 km/s. The fastest Earth-directed CMEs can reach our planet in as little as 15-18 hours. Slower CMEs can take several days to arrive. They expand in size as they propagate away from the Sun and larger CMEs can reach a size comprising nearly a quarter of the space between Earth and the Sun by the time it reaches our planet.

The more explosive CMEs generally begin when highly twisted magnetic field structures (flux ropes) contained in the Sun’s lower corona become too stressed and realign into a less tense configuration – a process called magnetic reconnection. This can result in the sudden release of electromagnetic energy in the form of a solar flare; which typically accompanies the explosive acceleration of plasma away from the Sun – the CME...

Supermoon
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermoon Wikipedia: Supermoon
"A supermoon is a full moon or a new moon that nearly coincides with perigee—the closest that the Moon comes to the Earth in its orbit—resulting in a slightly larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as viewed from Earth.[1] The technical name is a perigee syzygy (of the Earth–Moon–Sun system) or a full (or new) Moon around perigee.[a] Because the term supermoon is astrological in origin, it has no precise astronomical definition....

The name supermoon was coined by astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979, in Dell Horoscope magazine arbitrarily defined as:

... a new or full moon which occurs with the Moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit (perigee). In short, Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line, with Moon in its nearest approach to Earth."...

Perihelion
From https://www.space.com/what-is-perihelion "What Is Perihelion?"
...."The term "perihelion" describes the point in an astronomical body's orbit where it is nearest to the sun. Derived from the Greek words peri (around) and helios (sun), the word reflects its meaning.

In contrast, the term "aphelion" refers to the point where the orbiting body is farthest from the sun.

When is Perihelion?

Earth will reach its closest point to the sun, known as perihelion, on Jan. 3, 2026 at 12:15 p.m. EST (1715 GMT)."...

  1. Here's an excerpt of geophysicist Stefan Burns saying "Boom Shaka laka" in another post in reference to the sun's explosive coronal ejection.

    [trancript excerpt around 4:37-4:54]
"You're going to see a big coronal mass ejection the moment I hit play because that was the first one to occur right as 3 i atlas came in for its superior conjunction as viewed from Earth. It's perihelion. Its closest approach to the sun was just yesterday.

So let's hit play. We'll watch this first big gigantic kernel mass ejection. "Boom Shaka lockaka. There we go."...

    1. Here's Stefan Burn's comment that he pinned to the top of the discussion thread for his October 30, 2025 video whose link is given above:
      "@StefanBurns, Oct 30, 2025
Guys the solar explosions from these sunspots haven't stopped... we still have a few days before they rotate into view, but as of right now there is no indication that they will slow down with their activity. Base case is big solar storm and geomagnetic activity during and after the Full Supermoon around November 4-10th. Please rest up and be mindful of your health during this time because of how solar activity affects the nervous system and the stress response. Much love, Stefan".
