LYRICS - JOY (also known as "WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR THE NIGHT, BUT JOY COMES IN THE MORNING) (composer ?)

Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning

Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning

I came to Jesus just as I was
Weary wounded and sad
But I found in him a resting place
and he has made me glad

Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning
Weeping may endure for a night but joy is gonna come in the morning

Joy, Joy, Joy!

  1. Who wrote the song "Joy" ("Weeping May Endure For The Night, But Joy Comes In The Morning") ?

I haven't found any information online about the composer of this Gospel song that is based on Psalms 30:5 King James Version (King James Vesion:
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

    1. The verses in this song as given in this pancocojams post consists of floating verses from other Gospel songs or hymns. As such, perhaps it may be more appropriate to ask who arranged a certain choir's version of this song.

The Bible verse and the lyrics from other religious songs explains the words for "Joy" ("Weeping May Endure For The Night, But Joy Comes In The Morning"). And I believe that the Rev. James Moore and the Mississippi Mass Choir were the first to record this song in 1990.

However, who composed the music for this song?

If you have any information about this, please share it in this pancocojams comment section. Thanks!
