LYRICS - COLD NOVEMBER
(Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. song)

And it’s gonna be ah cold
Ah cold November
When I look back
And I remember
Fond memories of sweet days of old
Fond memories linked with the black and the gold
And it’s gonna be ah cold
Ah cold November
When I look back and I remember
Fond memories of sweet days of old
Fond memories linked with the black and the gold
And it’s gonna be a cold
November

This is my unofficial transcription of this song. This transcription doesn't capture the
elongation of words and the other soulful ways that this song is sung.

  1. I wouldn't bet money on it, but my guess is that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.'s song "Cold November" is a re-worked cover of Guns N' Roses' 1991 song "November Rain". Here's a link to a YouTube video of that song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SbUC-UaAxE.

Willie Nelson had a 1987 song entitled "Cold November Wind" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqcoP-nQbqM, but I don't think the Alphas' song sounds like it as much as it sounds like the Guns N' Roses song.

Of course, neither one of these songs might have been the "source" for the Alphas' "Cold November" song.
