This  pancocojams post showcases a YouTube vlog reaction to a Tik Tok clip by Brown Guurl who discussed what Black people from specific African Diaspora nations should and shouldn't bring to a hypothetical African Diaspora cookout.

Except for the first ten examples, this pancocojams post presents a compilation of some of the comments in this vlog's discussion thread that indicate what food and/or beverages commenters should bring or shouldn't bring to a hypothetical (or an actual) cookout for people from African and African Diaspora nations.

The content of this post is presented for socio-cultural and entertainment purposes. These comments highlight the names of food and beverages from specific African and African Diaspora nations/populations.

Thanks to @thatbrownguurl for her TikTok clip about an African Diaspora cookout . Thanks to Ivie Anita and all others who are featured in this YouTube vlog and thanks to all those who are quoted in this post.

PANCOCOJAMS EDITOR'S NOTE
The comments in this pancocojams post are only a very small sample of the comments in that vlog's discussion thread.

I consider a number of comments in that discussion thread to be very prejudicial toward non-Black people, particularly White people who are referred to or implied to be "Karens" who are the enemies of Black people. Also, all of the comments that only Black people should attend this hypothetical African and African Diaspora cookout received supportive comments and no push back comments. The prohibition of non-Black people to this hypothetical cookout includes Black people's marriage partners or dates.

I disagree with these comments very much, and decided to post the following comment in that discussion thread:

Azizi Powell, 2023
"I'm an African American (from New Jersey & Pennsylvania) who also loves the idea of an African and African Diaspora cookout or multiple African and African Diaspora cookout. However, I strongly reject the numerous comments in this discussion thread that only Black people could attend such a cookout. That prohibition including White or other non-Black marriage partners or a non-Black person who a Black person is dating. It appears that those comments have received no push back as of the date and time that I'm writing this comment. I'm posting this comment in large part because I believe it is important for us Black people to recognize that not all non-White people are our enemies. For example, I know a number of White people in an interracial marriage with a Black person who are doing or have done a good job of raising Black children. I also know some White transracial adopters who are doing or have done a good job raising Black children. Particularly with regards to transracially adopted Black children, those children need all the opportunities that they can get to become knowledgeable about and familiar with Black cultures. While I recognize the systemic and personal racism against Black people that has existed and still exist in this world, I hope some people who are fantasizing about this African and African Diaspora cookout and those people who are working to make these cookout a reality reconsider the position of prohibiting non-Black people from attending these cookouts if they ever became a reality. To paraphrase what commenter WHO? wrote "THIS ! Is what cultural and racial differences are for .. to respect and appreciate the differences not use them fir division." =snip- Update: My comment which I published on that discussion thread around 11:00AM May 24, 2023 has been deleted as of 12:27 AM EDT on that same day.

"Great idea! How about  an international diaspora cookout. Where all nations  in the diaspora celebrate together  at  the same time.  In that country.  Just get together wherever  you are."

**
3. TAQ123
"We need to change the name of the Caribbean Parade in NY to the Diaspora Reunion Cookout and Parade.  Those that can't get to NY have them in Ghana, the UK, and Nigeria on the same day. This will go a long way in proving we are not at each other's throats as some lead us to believe.

When it comes down to it, we all celebrate the achievements of our children. We don't care which group you belong to; we all feel a sense of pride when our kids do good, so let's extend that to everyone, that's if you're not doing that already."

"Omg! This will be so EPIC! It has to happen y’all. Food is the universal language of love. Just imagine all of us from the diaspora just loving on each other and getting reacquainted. Do y’all see the power in what an event like this could do for the mass elevation of our people. Division is our weakness.. but UNITED? Oooooooohh weeeeeee… quit playing, let’s do this fam!πŸ’ͺ🏽✊πŸΎπŸ‡¬πŸ‡ πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ‡¨πŸ‡«πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡΅πŸ‡·πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ‡―πŸ‡²

"πŸ˜†! πŸ˜‹ I'm salivating just thinking about all the delicious diasporan dishes from The ("West Indian") Caribbean cuisine, Latin American cuisine, African-American soul food, & OMG, I can still taste the jollof, fufu, & egusi, I had in Nigeria. This will be a grand feast. One love. How I ❤ this idea. πŸ˜‹"
