WHAT DOES "DRIP" AND "DRIP LORD" MEAN?

"WHAT DOES DRIP MEAN?
Leaks drip, yes, but when you’ve got the drip or are dripping, it means in slang that your look or style is extremely fashionable or sexy.
WHAT'S HOT
RELATED WORDS
on fleek, OG, trill, stupid fresh, too much sauce, on point, poppin’
Its origin is disputed, including among rappers. The hip-hop blog HipHopDX claims that the word originates in the 2000s Atlanta rap scene while a 2018 Urban Dictionary entry argues it comes from early 2010s Jersey City, New Jersey slang. However, it might also be a teen TV show from the late 2000s, Zoey 101, that introduced dripping as slang for “cool.”
[….]
The drip was popularized by the rapper who herself we’ve already seen dripping: Cardi B. Her 2018 hit “Drip” drips with rapper bravado: “Came through drippin’ (drip drip) / Diamonds on my wrist, they drippin’ (ice).
This phrase is a favorite of people posting outfit pics on Instagram and Twitter when they feel especially have the drip or are dripping in designer goods.

" "Drip" is a slang term used to praise one's style or outfit.
It came to use through hip-hop culture and has been used synonymously with
terms like "swag," growing in popularity until it saw use in several
ironic memes.
Origin
The use of "Drip" in hip hop can be traced back to
the mid-90s and early 2000s. The music annotation site Genius[1] notes that the
songs "Pimp the Pen" by Lil Keke (1996) and Ghostface Killah's
"Nutmeg" (2000) alluded to "Drip," but rapper Sauce Walka
claims that he popularized the way the word is currently used in his 2014
mixtape, Saucemania. .. Speaking to Genius, he says, "To drip
is to be a king. To drip is to be a winner." Rapper Gunna has also laid
claim to starting "Drip."[3]
Spread
The term began seeing much more mainstream usage in the
latter half of the 2010s alongside the rise of Migos. Migos' Offset uses the
term in the chorus of 2017's Bad and Boujee and the group scored another hit
that year titled "Ric Flair Drip" (shown below, left). In 2018, Cardi
B released "Drip" which features Migos.
On October 8th, 2018, a definition for "Drip" was
added to Urban Dictionary by user splashtonkutcher[2] (shown below).
"TOP DEFINITION: Drip
adjective to describe your outfit
similar to swag, sauce, steez, swank dripmane -
"mane my outfit is
dripping right now" friend - "your outfit wet asf". " "
-snip-
"Mane" is one of several African American Vernacular English spellings for the colloquial referent "man". That word is pronounced by elongating the word "man". The letter "e" at the end isn't spoken, but is used to differentiate the slang word and pronunciation"man" from the standard English word and pronunciation "man".

HOW DID THE TERM "DRIP" GET THE VERNACULAR MEANING OF BEING AWESOME AND STYLISH?
The slang meaning for the word "drip" is undoubtedly derived from its association with the slang term "sauce" and the highly complimentary slang phrase "too much sauce" or "too much juice" (meaning having a lot of sauce or having a lot of juice).
Here's an excerpt from https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/too-much-sauce/
"Where does So Much Sauce Come From?
"Hip-hop artists have been using the term sauce as slang for swagger and luxury-branded clothing and accessories since at least 2013. This sense probably came from the meaning of sauce as “something that adds piquance or zest,” as a designer watch might impact a performer’s image.
As an enormous spike in Google searches suggests, the phrase too much sauce was boosted in popularity by the August, 2016 release of the hit single “Too Much Sauce” by DJ Esco, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert. The single stayed on the Billboard Top 100 for 20 weeks, peaking in January, 2017 at number 50, a date that corresponds to an identical peak in Google lookups. The lyrics of the song describe the numerous designer brands worn by the performers. Though fans of hip-hop music might have heard the phrase too much sauce before 2016, the phrase was uncommon enough before the song that singer Future released a video to explain the meaning of the phrase. There are also no entries for this sense of the phrase in Urban Dictionary before 2016.
The sauce in the phrase has expanded beyond its original meaning of designer accessories to confidence and swagger. Men in particular, who are especially confident, are said to have too much sauce, as are cool or impressive songs, sports plays, or items."...
