      I've noticed that some other people agree with you that this "My Own Drum" sounds like Lizzo wrote it.

      When I watched the Vivo movie I thought the songs sounded lik Lin-Manuel Miranda before I read that he was a part of the movie and its songs.

      Hello, Anonymous. You asked "What genre is the song "My Own Drum" from the movie "Vivo".

      I think it's a mash up (a combination of a lot of different genres". If I were being facetious, I would say its genre is "Lin-Manuel Miranda" ;o)

      I searched the internet looking for the answer to you question, but didn't find one. But here's an article addresses that topic:
