"Katima Mulilo export DJ Siya is a Namibian musician who has managed to break out beyond borders with his music reaching fans in countries like Botswana, Zimbabwe South Africa, and Zambia.

A producer, DJ, and performer who’s worked with many industry giants over the years, DJ Siya sits down with Ché Ulenga on ‘The Tribe’ to talk about his music journey.

Tell us about how the journey started for you and what music means to you?

I’d say music is in our family. I remember when I started in 1998, I was not a professional yet but I remember my two late uncles inspiring me. One of them is DJ Bolly, he was one of the famous DJ’s back then and the other one,  John Mutonga used to be NBC’s Service Manager. Those are the people who introduced me to the music industry. At first, I did it because I wanted to make money but then I fell in love with it."...

  1. Here's some information about the word "zumba"
    From https://www.quora.com/What-does-zumba-mean-in-English
Stephen Houchen, Answered August 29, 2014
"Zumba is the name of that music-themed group exercise that others here have pointed out. The name comes from the Spanish verb zumbar - "to buzz", "to whirr", or "to hum". Presumably, this refers to the very fast movements of a bee in flight plus the sound it makes (the two main elements of the exercise activity are fast movement and music). The word zumbar itself is onomatopoetic"

    From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zumba
"Zumba is an exercise fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Pérez during the 1990s.[1] Zumba is a trademark owned by Zumba Fitness, LLC

    Origin
Zumba was founded in 1998 by Pérez in Cali, Colombia. Pérez, an aerobics instructor, forgot to bring his regular music to his aerobics class. He happened to have cassette tapes of Latin dance music—salsa and merengue—and danced to them instead, which Pérez later taught as "Rumbacize".[3][4] In 2001, Pérez partnered with Alberto Perlman and Alberto Aghion, and the trio released a series of fitness videos sold via infomercial.[5] Insight Venture Partners and the Raine Group made an investment in 2012.[6][7] The company expanded into class instruction and by 2015, according to Perlman, there were 14 million Zumba students in 186 countries.[8]"...

    -end of quotes-
My guess is that in this Southern African song, the word "zumba" means "party"'dance.

    Additions and corrections are welcome.

    1. Specifically, I think that Congolese Rhumba is the dancing that is performed in this video (and probably also referred to in this song).
