This is my transcription of this song from the video. Additions and corrections are welcome. [Revised December, 12, 2018]

To my American ears, the word "chikibom" is pronounced like the English word "chick" (rhymes with "sick") + the letter "e" [as in the word "he"] + om (which sounds like the English word "bum" or the sound "bahm").

I assume that "chikibom" is a sound associated with the movement of a steam engine train.

  1. I think the tune (the beat) and the word "chikibom" alternating with "chiki chiki" "bom" and "bom bom" are what make this song so pleasing and catchy (easy to remember).

I liked the song, but didn't care for the video at all.

For instance, I really didn't like the girl standing and sitting in the doorway of the train. I also didn't like the one boy watching the girl go to her seat in the train and the other boy looking at her while she put her bags in the storage area on top of the train seats.

And I didn't like the girl and the other children traveling by themselves and later singing together in the cafe area of the train.

I know it's only fiction, but why were all of those children traveling alone and why were there no adults in the train?

I guess I'm used to the Clarence Peters style and quality of production for Nigerian videos. (for instance, in the Yemi Alade video "Johnny")...
