If I correctly understand the positions of Black online commenters who identify as American Descendants Of Slaves (ADOS), they don't consider Kamala Harris and Barak Obama to be "real" Black Americans because they don't have any ancestors who were enslaved in the United States.

FBAs accept the fact that Barack Obama's father was a Black Kenyan, but some FBAs don't even believe that Kamala Harris' father is Black. These commenters point to the fact that he is Jamaican. However, they write that Kamala Harris's father's ancestry is mostly White.
My take on this is that that FBA position is a toxic, divide and conquer reverse "One Drop" definition of who is or isn't Black- i.e. "You're not Black if you have any ancestors who weren't Black."
Some FBA and other Black people who indicate that Kamala Harris (and her father) aren't Black even though they "look Black" either may mean that they are no longer following the "One drop of Black blood makes a person Black" . And/or it may mean that those people aren't using visual clues to guess a person's racial identity.
DeleteI support dropping that One drop of Black blood rule since I believe people who are multiracial are all of their races/ethnicities. Also, I support dropping that visual clue guessing custom for identifying p4ople by rawce because it's not always accurate.
That said, it occurs to me that there are more Black Americans than White Americans and other non-Black Americans who indicate that Kamala Harris isn't Black. I think that is because those White Americans and the other non-Black Americans are using the same visual clues (particularly skin color and facial features) that have always been used in the United States to categorize people by race-even if some Black Americans don't fit those visual clues such as Black people who could/can "pass for White." In contrast, some FBA or Black people who appear to have views like FBAs insist in their comments that Kamala Harris isn't Black regardless of the way that she (and her father) look.
