I haven't been able to find any biographical information online about José Nzita. I found a reference to Jose Nzita being a Congolese Gospel singer on this internet page:" I think that he is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but I'm not sure about that.

Most of the comments in these video's discussion threads are in French, but I'm not sure which language is used for these songs. Unfortunately, there's no information about this vocalist in English or French in the YouTube discussion threads for his songs.

  1. It occurs to me while watching these videos that Jose Nzita's and his singers' traditional African clothing styles owe a lot to West African and particularly Yoruba fashions.

    I'm curious if people who know traditional African fashions much better than me agree with this idea.
