  1. A number of websites on the name "Tanisha" indicate that it is a Hausa name that means "female born on Monday".

    Note that the Wikipedia page for Tanisha (name) reads that it is "a Hausa variant transcription of the name Tani"...

    Here's an excerpt of http://lmallam.tripod.com/id12.html, a website that presents the Hausa names for the days of the week and the names for males and females born on those days"
    "Monday (Litinin)
    male born on Monday: Tanimu
    female born on Monday - Inna or Tani or Attine"

  2. My online research of the name "Tanisha" began as part of my interest in distinctive Caribbean forenames. I recently came across the names Timarqus Connor and Timeasha Connor in this August 2019 article https://www.thedailyherald.sx/supplements/kids/the-prince-and-princess-show-in-anguilla The Prince and Princess Show in Anguilla. Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. The Prince and Princess show is an annual pageant in Anguilla,

    Here's that article:
    Lacoya Carmont and Chadero Kent from Morris Vanterpool Primary School in Anguilla were named this year’s “Prince” and “Princess” in the latest pageant at the end of July, earning the school the title for 2019-2020.

    The pageant was presented by the Anguilla Summer Festival Committee and was held at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center.

    The pupils outdid the five other participating schools by winning the Best Introductory Speech, the Best Talent and Best Evening Wear segments.

    First runner-up was Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary represented by Teah Heyliger and Ethan Connor. Second runner-up was Orealia Kelly Primary with Timarqus Connor and Timeasha Connor.

    The winners received US $350, an Education Savings Fund valued at US $1,500, and cellular phones. Each of the contestants received an electronic tablet, jewellery, school supplies a T-shirt, a Prince and Princess water bottle, and a gift certificate for ice cream."

    Here's what I figured out about these names:
    "Lacoya" = girls name
    "Chadero" = boys name
    "Teah" = girls name
    "Ethan" = boys name
    "Timarqus" = boys name
    "Timeasha" = girls name

  3. The female name "Tenecia" may sometimes be a variant form of the name "Tanisha".

    "Tenecia" is probably mostly given to African American females, but around 2015 I met a White American female in her 20s or early 30s with that name. She pronounced her name "tan-NEE-see-ah". However, I believe that that African Americans usually pronounce that name as "tah-NEE-sha".
