"Absolute chillingly good song sung by the best boys choir in South Africa. All the boys are very talented and very intelligent. All boys need an above average IQ to get in the choir as they have to go to a private school and the nature of the choir the study where ever they are. Wait for the middle of video absolutely wow!!!"

"The Drakensberg boys Choir is a school set on a 100 acre estate in the Drakensburg mountain range in South Africa. It was founded in 1967 and is the only choir school in Africa. The boys choir's vision is to create a multi-racial, multi-cultural choir school to rival that of the Vienna Boys" -

Here's a comment from another video of this same song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Amqx6jYHP-w
"I learned it as Lilizela

A general translation would be "We are here, we are gathered. The spirit is moved. Uulate! The spirit is moved."

Here are two comments comment from this video's viewer comment thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GOqFHraZmM

[Regarding the first song "Amavolovolo"]
"I love this song. It's sung often as a dowry song and it commonly translates to "revolver"...don't jump to conclusions here, people, the song is about celebration of the end of violence in the area the songs hails from. It is a beautiful, symbolic piece about welcoming in happier, more peaceful times to our lives."
-tsukikokoe; 2010

[in response to a question about the name of the second song in this video]
"Ahmabicikili (i'm not sure if that's how you spell it). It's a funny song about having a bicycle then a car, and so on. :) I remember doing that one in hich school."

    1. You're welcome, Morne Van der Berg.

I happened upon videos of the Drakensberg Boys' Choir around 2010 by surfing YouTube for videos of South African music.

I love most of their South African folk videos.
