LYRICS: HE'S SWEET I KNOW
(Janie P. Hill)*

He's sweet I know
He's sweet I know
Storm clouds may rise.
And strong winds may blow.
(Well), I’ll tell the world
Wherever I may go
That I have found a Savior
And He's sweet I know.
(repeat)

He's sweet I know
He's sweet I know
Dark clouds may rise
And strong winds may blow
But, I can the world
Wherever I may go
That I have found a Savior
And He's sweet I know
(repeat)

I can't forget
When I was sad
Head hanging down
And my soul feeling bad
But, all I could say
Was "Lord, take my heart"
You know, Jesus heard me praying
And He gave me a song
(chorus)

Sometimes I'm tried
By Satan's snares
And my burdens seem
So hard to bear
And I'm talked about, Lord
In whatever I do
But, I know a Savior
And He'll take me on through
(chorus)

Example #2: He's Sweet I know by Albertina Walker with The Caravans

This is a very old, but powerful arrangement of the hymn 'He's Sweet I Know' performed by "Lady Albertina Walker" as the radio announcer called her. This single is no longer published. I'm sorry for the poor sound quality but it was the best that could be done. I decided to post this version anyway, and prayerfully despite the scratchy background, the reverence is what will shine through and be a blessing to someone else as well

The late Myrtle Jackson singing "He's Sweet, I Know." This is from her appearance on TV's Gospel Time in the 1960's. Many of you may know that Myrtle Jackson worked with/sung with the Roberta Martin Singers at one point in time, and led songs, such as "He Didn't Mind Dying."

    1. Thanks for your comment, Minister Ron Bragg.

Years ago two young children introduced me to the Gospel song "He's Sweet I Know". I've loved it ever since and was glad to find examples of it on YouTube.

      God bless!

I've always loved this song since years ago when I first heard a neighbor singing it.

I lost touch with the neighbor, but I still have that memory and I still have that song.
