INFORMATION ABOUT PANCOCOJAMS'S SISTER BLOG
"COCOJAMS2"
Cocojams2 is largely a repository for examples of children's
recreational rhymes, singing games, and cheers that were published on my now
inactive website cocojams.com.
Here's a comment that provides some history of cocojams.com and cocojams2 blogspot. I published this in the comment section for the June 5, 2025 pancocojams post https://pancocojams.blogspot.com/2025/06/some-examples-of-softball-chants-that.html
"Some Examples Of Softball Chants That Have Their Source In "Introduce Yourself" ("My Name Is __") Foot Stomping Cheers"
"Some examples of children's recreational rhymes and cheers that are found in this post and in other pancocojams post are from my no longer active website cocojams.com. Here's some information about that website:
"cocojams" was the name of my multi-page cultural website that was online from January 2001 to November. 2014. I founded and curated cocojams.com website thanks to a grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation and a grant from the Pennsylvania Council On The Arts and The Humanities. Lucas Musewe provided technical support for that website by putting all of the material onto I presented to him onto that site.
Among other material, cocojams.com included a number of pages of examples of children's recreational recreational rhymes, singing games, and cheerleader cheers as well as pages on other mostly African American cultural indices.
Children and teens contributed many of the examples that was found on cocojams.com via an easy to use form on that site that didn't require any email address.
I voluntarily closed cocojams.com in November 2014 largely because of problems with that website's server which sometimes caused that website to be unavailable. I had previously launched this pancocojams google blog in 2011 and began to find that it was a better alternative to cocojams.com largely because google blog's features make it easy for people without computer expertise to use that blog to add, edit, and remove text (words) and videos.
A number of examples that were posted on cocojams.com can be found on this pancocojams blog and on my closely related blog cocojams2. Click https://cocojams2.blogspot.com to visit that blog.
I am forever grateful to Lucas Musewe for helping me launch cocojams.com by providing his largely volunteer technical work on that website.
Thanks also to all the children, teens, and adults who contributed many of the examples of children's rhymes, singing games, and cheers that was featured on cocojams.com.
