SELECTED COMMENTS FROM THIS VIDEO'S DISCUSSION THREAD
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT1GMoi0hGo
These are all the comments in that discussion thread that refer to skin color as of February 9, 2016 at 8:00pm EST.
These comments were prompted by the video's story line: A young woman is courted by two Black men. One man is dark skinned and one is light skinned. The woman chooses the man who is dark skinned. Whether that descriptor is pertinent to her choice is part of the discussion in this YouTube comment thread.
I've also included some comments that refer to the fact that the men in this video are South African celebrities. The "dark skinned" man who courts the woman in this video is played by Cassper Nyovest, a popular Hip-Hop rapper/producer. The "light skinned" man who courts the woman is played by Brighton Ngoma , an actor who stars in a South African television series entitled Scandal. Brighton Ngoma is sometimes referred to in the comments as Quinton, his name in that television series.
These comments are presented in chronological order with the oldest comments given first except for replies. These comments may not be in consecutive order.
Four asterisks after a particular comment marks the end of a particular sub-thread of comments with replies.
I've assigned numbers for referencing purposes only.
As background, here's some information about "Coloureds" and "Khoisans" in South Africa:
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coloured
"In Southern Africa, the term Coloureds (also known as Bruinmense or Kleurlinge) is an ethnic label for people of mixed ethnic origin who possess ancestry from Europe, Asia, and various Khoisan and Bantu ethnic groups of southern Africa. Not all Coloured people share the same ethnic background. As a result, Coloured people can possess a variety of different features.[3][4] Besides the extensive combining of these diverse heritages in the Western Cape — in which a distinctive Cape Coloured and affiliated Cape Malay culture developed — in other parts of Southern Africa, their development has usually been the result of the meeting of two distinct groups. Genetic studies suggest the group has the highest levels of mixed ancestry in the world.[5][6] However, the maternal (female) contribution to the Coloured population, measured by mitochondrial DNA studies, was found to come mostly from the Khoisan population.[7][8]"

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khoisan
"Khoisan" (/ˈkɔɪsɑːn/; also spelled Khoesaan, Khoesan or Khoe–San) is a unifying name for two groups of peoples of Southern Africa, who share physical and putative linguistic characteristics distinct from the Bantu majority of the region.[1] Culturally, the Khoisan are divided into the foraging San, or Bushmen, and the pastoral Khoi, or more specifically Khoikhoi,[2] previously known as Hottentots."

"This stereotype towards black people (especially girls) with darker complexion needs to stop; The youth of today are so obsessed with being lighter skin, and this is fuelled by the Entertainment industry prefarence of “the so-called Yellow Bones” for their music video's. All shades of Black are beautiful!"

"+Tim B But, the video is not based on an attraction to solely dark skinned men. Even if it was, why is it ok for other people to justify their attraction to lighter shades, as just a preference, but showing attraction to darker-skinned individuals on a platform such as this, unnecessary?"

**
25. Boitumelo Khutsafalo
"dope, dope, dope!@Jean-Pierre...i don't think she was being racist... the message has nothing to do with being black or white..she chose the other guy becoz he picked up the hand bag for her after she dropped it while the other guy was busy asking for her dials..regardless of their colour...i could be wrong but thats how i understood it.."
-snip-
In this comment "dope" probably means that the commenter thought an Jean-Pierre's conclusions were stupid. However, in this video's discussion thread the word "dope" is often used with its African American Vernacular English term meaning "very good" in praise of this song.

You're the one making this about race, she likes a man who's humble, doesn't flaunt there money about or try to buy her love with material things, that's what the video is about, it has nothing to do with skin colour lol XD"

-snip-
Here's information about Trevor Noah from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Noah
"Trevor Noah (born 20 February 1984)[1] is a South African comedian, television and radio host, and actor.[2] He is the host of American news satire television program The Daily Show, succeeding Jon Stewart.[3]
Noah was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. His mother, Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah, is of mixed Xhosa and Jewish ancestry,[4][5][6][7] and his father, Robert, is of Swiss German ethnicity. Noah spent his early youth in the private school of Maryvale College, a Catholic school in Johannesburg.[8][9][10] His parents' relationship was illegal at the time of his birth because of apartheid, and his mother was jailed and fined by the South African government.[11] His father later moved back to Switzerland and Noah was raised by his mother and maternal grandmother, Nomalizo Frances Noah.[12]"
