LYRICS: WEEKEND SPECIAL
(recorded by Brenda Fassie & The Big Dudes)

You dont come around, to me see in the week
You dont have a chance, to call me on the phone
You dont come around, to me see in the week
You dont have a chance, to call me on the phone

But Friday night yes I know, yes I know
I know I must be ready for you, just be waiting for you
Friday night yes I know, yes I know
I know I must be ready for you, just be waiting for you

[Chorus]

I’m no weekend, weekend special
I’m no weekend, weekend special
I’m no weekend, weekend special
I’m no weekend, weekend special
I’m no weekend, (daddy’s home) weekend special
I’m no weekend, (daddy’s home) weekend special

[Verse 2]
Another lonely night, on my own again
How along for your love
I need your touch, yes I do
You dont come around, to me see in the week
You dont have a chance, to call me on the phone
But Friday night yes I know, yes I know
I know I must be ready for you, just be waiting for you
Friday night yes I know, yes I know
I know I must be ready for you, just be waiting for you

[Bridge]
I’m your weekend special...
I’m your weekend special...
I’m no weekend special...
That is all...
I’m no weekend, weekend special (x4)
You dont love me no more... (x3)
You dont love me no more... I know

(Chorus)

"MaBrrrr!!! rest in peace darling!!! you are a legend whose talent will be greatly missed!"

I can't find the meaning of "MaBrr" on the internet. The only mention of that word that I've been able to find is that it was and still is a (affectionate ? and respectful?) nickname for South African vocalist Brenda Fassie.

Does "MaBrr" mean Mother Brenda?
-snip-
"MaBrr" is sometimes written "Mabrr" and sometimes is spelled with additional "r"s at the end.
