Notice that when they chant "You do move like this" the Howard University cheerleaders are parodying other cheerleading teams who perform upstomps (high steps) and when they chant "You shake like this", they are parodying the same cheerleaders for their jigga-pop (double shake) motion:

This is Part III of this three part pancocojams series on stomp & shake cheerleader squads' upstomp (high step) motions. .
This post showcases some YouTube videos of pre-2013 stomp & shake cheerleaders. These videos document cheer routines that don't include upstomps (high steps) or are early examples of "high steps" (upstomps).
One purpose of this post is to help document some "early" video examples of stomp & shake cheerleading and show the absence or the evolution of the upstomp (high step") motion that is now (in 2026) such an integral part of many standing* stomp & shake cheer routines.
*as opposed to stomp & shake cheers that are performed by cheerleaders who are sitting in gym bleachers

The Sassy high school cheerleader team is from Prince Edward School District, Virginia.
{That school's cheerleaders may no longer use that name in the 2020s.]
Prince Edward County is about 60 to 70 miles from Richmond, Virginia.
Virginia State University, home of the renown stomp & shake cheerleading team "the Woo Woos" is located in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
The name of this video's publisher (and publisher of a number of other early videos of this high school team) signals that she is either a former Woo Woo cheerleader of is a fan of that Virginia State University cheerleader team. A number of commenters in Sassy video discussion threads shared that one of their former coaches was a member of Virginia State University's Woo Woo cheerleader team
