I thi...Thanks, anonymous for sharing that example.<br /><br />I think that Black basketball star Michael Jordan's name appears in these "Down By The Banks Of The Hanky Panky" because that name is confused with another "Michael" name with a "j" last name of a famous Black man - Michael Jackson.<br /><br />Other "Down By The Banks Of The Hanky Panky" examples substitute R&B singer Bobby Brown''s name for Michael Jackson. Both those men are Black and both sung R&B songs, though Michael Jackson was also considered to be a Pop singer. I don't think that this substitution was purposely, for instance, being made out of respect for Michael Jackson after he dead. Sometimes the website's program (software?) converts everything posted to paragraph form.
